Swearing In Ceremony

Len (Dad/Grandpa) was sworn in to office today. It was held at the Court House and lots of people were there, those seen here and also Grandad, Gran, Jocie and Jane. I'm not sure how I didn't get any pictures of them. After Len was sworn in, he did the swearing in for all his staff of deputies, dispatchers and jailers. He was interviewed by all three of the TV stations before the day was over.

It was so awesome to be there. Len was really in his element.

That would have been so neat to be there and watch. I'm so glad Dad had some of his family there with him.

I am so glad that so many family members were there. And I am so excited for Dad. I wish I could have been there. I was thinking of you and Dad though.

First things first--you guys both looked MAHvelous, darling! Loved Len's svelt jacket (was that velvet or courderoy) and your pretty top. Talk about a nice looking couple. I suppose some things will never change. :)

I also loved how Uncle Len had his hand in his pocket as he swore everyone else in. So calm and collected. So totally Uncle Len.

Congratulations again and again. I am so excited for this to finally be happening for you, Uncle Len!!

I love you both so much and wish I could have been there, too. It sounds like you had some great witnesses to the event though nonetheless. i liked what Jane said about Len being in his element.

Love,
Autumn

I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this. It was great to see the results of your hard work pay off. Best of luck to you! I promise, no speeding in Fremont County :)

Heartiest congratulations to the only guy I know who can consistently outshoot me with a handgun and has sometimes outshot me with a rifle. All the best in the new calling. And it really is a sort of calling. The county needs just your kind of guy at the helm.
